Spanish 101 (Posted 4-20-2010)

Do you remember anything from your high school Spanish? Neither do we! But we have been able to implement many of the principles we learned from language training in November with our new tutor Andres.

The learning is interactive and student driven. In other words, we set the agenda, and it is our responsibility to learn the language conversationally, not our tutor’s. The activities are many and varied. In the video above, we learn through true or false questioning. Andres places items together in a sequence. In this case, there are various fruits, with demonstrative pronouns (this, these, that, those), placed either here, there, over there. Andres places any of the items together, tells Julie what he’s done, and she must state whether he is stating a truth or falsehood.
