Every Friday night, Julie and I enjoy watching the Spanish students gather, greet, and gear up for Friday night fun. Usually, there is quite a commotion for two to three hours. Kissing is the common greeting for boys to girls, or girls to girls. Guys usually shake, side hug, or the equivalent.
One time, there was 3 teenage girls waiting for their friends. 15 students came up from the metro to greet them in a line. It was fun to watch as one-by-one, in a line, all 15 kissed the 3 girls. The poor girls probably had tired lips afterwards.
