Greek Classes (Posted 5-14-2013)

In the month of March, Chad canceled his Greek class in order to have time for additional ministry commitments that we had.  One of the extra commitments was giving the talk at a combined youth event for different churches in Madrid, and at the event, he saw all four of his Greek students.  It was so fun for me to watch Chad talk with each of them that evening.  They were seeking him out to ask Greek questions that they had recently come across, and he was expertly answering their questions.  Of course, this is all in Spanish!  One of Chad’s students is a teenager, and I talked with him about the class.  I told him how much Chad enjoys Greek and is enjoying teaching their class, and he shared with me how good of a teacher Chad is.  I am proud of Chad for what he is accomplishing, but more than that, I am grateful to God for opening this door for Chad, for allowing him to meet one of his goals and to do something that he loves and believes in, and for the impact that learning Greek is going to have on these students as they delve deeper into their personal study of God’s Word.  What a joy!
